Local photographer wins “Missouri Photographer of the Year 2009”

Don Love, owner of Love’s Photography, St. Louis, MO, takes home top awards from the Heart of America Professional Photographer Convention. The Heart of America (Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska) Professional Photographer Convention, held in Kansas City March 27 – 31, 2009, is a regional educational and print competition sanctioned by the PPA (Professional Photographers of America).

The following awards were in the non-master category:

• First place - Illustrative category for his print titled “Symphony in Motion” (Geese) .
• Top Ten Award – Awarded to ten Missouri photographers with the highest print case scores. (all 4 print combined)
• Best of show – the print selected by all judges as their overall favorite for his print titled “Symphony in Motion” (Geese).
• Photographer of the Year – Awarded for the highest print case total score (all 4 prints combined).

Don Love currently serves as President of the PPAGSL (Professional Photographers of America Greater St. Louis). He is Treasurer and serves on the Board of Directors for the MoPPA (Missouri Professional Photographers of America). Both organizations, PPAGSL and MoPPA, are dedicated to the educational advancement of the Professional Photographer.
